The Spring Lake ski team was back in the powder for their conference matchup between cross river rival Grand Haven and Forest Hills Central at Cannonsburg on Tuesday.

The Lakers finished in second place behind Grand Haven in both boys and girls varsity teams. 

Leading the way for the Lakers was Aidan Parker who posted a first-place finish in both the slalom and giant slalom. Also finishing in the top 10 for the boys, Max Brown took 6th in slalom and 8th in giant slalom.

Mya Phares had two top ten finishes for the Lakers’ girls team, coming in 4th in the slalom and 6th in the giant slalom while Brooklyn Verplank earned a 5th place spot in the giant slalom and finished 7th in the slalom.

Spring Lake will take a trip to Caberfae on Friday for a full field conference race.
