Against some tough competition at home, the Spring Lake boys swimming team dropped its meet against the Division 3 No. 2 ranked Holland Christian on Tuesday with a score of 110-76.

Every year the Lakers know when they face the Maroons, they’re going to have to be on their top game.

“The dual meet between Holland Christian is always one of my favorite meets of the season, no matter the end result,” said Coach Zacek. “Our teams have had a great relationship that’s spanned for many years, and will continue to do so for many years to come.”

The boys swam hard despite the loss and multiple swimmers showed improvement.

Garrett Abel improved his 500 Free time by 32.06 seconds, Matthew Dandelin in the 500 Free by 22.74 seconds , Kyle Eaker improved in the 100 Free by 3.76 seconds and Quentin O’Donnell in the 50 Free by 1.5 seconds.

Spring Lake is ranked No. 4 on the season and will get back in the pool on Tuesday when they travel for a dual meet against number six ranked Hamilton.
