Tallying another CSAA-Silver win and improving to 5-0 in the conference, the Holton boys basketball team made light work of Morley Stanwood ending their Friday night with a 53-34 victory.

It didn’t take long for the Red Devils to get out in front as they pulled ahead 14-3 after the first quarter and continued into halftime with a 22-10 lead over the Mohawks.

The Red Devils maintained control into the second half, again outscoring the Mohawks and pushing the lead to 40-22 after the end of the third quarter. Without losing their edge in the final quarter of the game, the Red Devils solidified the conference win.

Recording a double-double on the night for the Red Devils was Wyatt Monette with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Carter Brant gave his support scoring 13 points, six assists and six steals.

Also throwing in for the Red Devils was Kevin Erickson who had 13 points and five steals.

Holton improves to 7-2 on the season and will visit Calvary Christian on Monday.
