HOLLAND–The Calvary Christian girls basketball team pushed their win streak to nine with a dominating 51-22 win over host Holland Black River on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles started slowly but still opened up the first quarter with an 8-4 lead over the River Rats and increased it to 16-11 at halftime.

Coming out of the halftime break, the Eagles dialed in their shooting going on a 20-8 scoring run in the third quarter stretching their lead to 36-19.

The run continued into the fourth quarter with the Eagles dropping in 15 points while holding the River Rats to only three points to put the nail in the coffin and seal the win.

McKena Wilson led the way for the Eagles scoring 15 points, snagging three steals and making three assists while Nora Pollock was a force on defense accumulating 13 steals and scored 12 points to post a double-double on the night.

Cate Anhalt had 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals while Anveet Cheem chipped in with nine points, five rebounds and four steals.

Calvary Christian improves to 9-1 and a perfect 3-0 in the Alliance League. The Eagles will host Wyoming Tri-Unity on Thursday.
