ALLENDALE–On Friday evening the Fruitport boys basketball team went out on the road and came home with a victory over Allendale by a score of 61-57.

The Trojans trailed by three points at the end of the first quarter as they were outscored by Allendale 14-11.

Fruitport tied things up at 26-26 by the halftime break outscoring Allendale 15-12 in the second stanza.

Fruitport held the upper hand in the third period 15-13 giving themselves a slim two point cushion 41-39 entering fourth quarter.

Paschal Jolman, scored 10 points in the final eight minutes to help cap off the night with a league win for Fruitport

The trio of Ryan Laus, Bode Anspach and P. Jolman were instrumental in the win for the Trojans as they combined for 42 points having each put up 14 points apiece. Also getting in on the scoring action was Collin Jolman who added seven points with Gavin Reames and Andrew Spyke each throwing in six points.

Fruitport moves to 7-12 on the year and is 3-11 in the OK Conferenc-Blue. Fruitport is set to play host to Montague on Thursday, March 3 to close out the regular season and honor their veterans for Senior Night.
