Fruitport girls get their first win of the season with a fourth quarter comeback over Coopersville

COOPERSVILLE–Fruitport got into the win column for the first time this season with a conference road win over Coopersville 44-38.

Auebre Johnson was the leading scorer for the Trojans with 17 points and four rebounds. Sadie Norwood and Sabi Miel added 10 points of their own while Norwood had 11 rebounds and three steals for a double-double and Miel had eight of her own. Ashton Olson had seven points to round out the scoring.

Fruitport improves to 1-15 and 1-9 in OK-Blue conference play. The Trojans will travel to Holland Christian next Tuesday, February 15.
