HESPERIA–Hesperia’s loss to Lakeview did not come without a fight to the final buzzer as they lost 44-35 on Friday evening.

Lakeview led at the end of the first quarter 12-10 before shutting Hesperia out in the second quarter to take a halftime lead of 27-10.

The offensive woes continued for Hesperia in the third quarter, which saw Lakeview outscore the Panthers 9-5 to take a 36-15 lead into the final eight minutes of action where the Panthers would outscore Lakeview 15-8.

Maddox Mosley led Hesperia with a game-high 18 points.

The Panthers improved defensively but struggled offensively. Shots refused to fall during the second and third quarters, leading to a large scoring drought.

Hesperia continues to slide in their overall record as they drop to 1-11 and 0-7 in CSAA-Silver play. Hesperia will host the Hart Pirates on February 7th.
