LAKEVIEW–Following a strong overtime victory the night before, the Holton girls basketball team notched another win on the road against Lakeview on Tuesday evening winning the CSAA-Silver matchup 45-31.

The Red Devils held a small lead after the first quarter with a score of 8-4, but by halftime Lakeview had slithered their way neck and neck with Holton tying up the game 18-18.

All season the Red Devils have been more of a second half team, and this game was no different as they picked it up defensively creating a few turnovers to jump ahead and shut down Lakeview for the rest of the second half.

Happy to get a league win and two wins in two days, but we need to start stringing together complete games down the stretch,” said Holton Coach Robert Jordan.

It was a balanced scoring attack for the Red Devils with Abby Fowler leading the way scoring nine points, pulling down five rebounds and dishing out five assists while Ryann Robins grabbed nine rebounds and added eight points.

Lighting it up defensively for the Red Devils Courtney Boes grabbed a team high 12 rebounds.

Holton improves to 7-5 on the season and 3-3 in the CSAA-Silver. The Red Devils are set to visit White Cloud on Friday in another conference matchup.
