I thought Jaxi really shot the ball well in the first half and helped spark us a little bit. Happy with the way the girls are committing on the defensive end too. We have a tough game coming up Friday against a good Big Rapids team at their place.”

Newaygo improves to 12-1 overall and is 7-0 in the Central State Activities Association-Gold.

The Lions will travel to Big Rapids on Friday evening to take on the Cardinals in league action.
