FREMONT — Ludington’s boys swimming and diving team came home from its trip to Fremont on Thursday night with a convincing 56-29 victory over the Packers.

“The boys are starting to push themselves, many had their best times of the season and career,” Orioles head coach Joe Schneider said.

“They took their diving board out, so we put Evan Bennett, who normally dives, in the 100-yard freestyle to race Hayden Madl … and what a race it was. Madl (54.57) out-touched Bennett (54.61) by .04”

Swimmers with season best times included Madl, Lucas Peterson, Bennett and Kyle Wendt winning the 200-yard medley relay in 1:57.61.
