MUSKEGON–The Oakridge girls basketball team capped off the night Tuesday with a solid WMC victory over the Ravenna Bulldogs winning 40-28.

Oakridge got out to a 10-9 lead after the first eight minutes of action.

The Eagles outscored Ravenna 10-4 in the second stanza to extend their lead to 20-13 at the halftime intermission.

Ravenna kept things close outscoring Oakridge 7-6 in a sluggish offensive third quarter. The Eagles held a 26-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Eagles shook off the offensive struggles and held a 14-8 scoring advantage in the final eight minutes to preserve the win.

Jasmine Pastor led the Oakridge offense with a game high 19 points, while grabbing four rebounds and making three steals while Anna Lundquist grabbed 12 rebounds, scored nine points, snatched five steals and made four blocks.

Oakridge improves to 5-11 overall and 4-7 in the WMC. The Eagles are set to play host to Whitehall on Friday evening.

Ravenna falls to 4-11 overall with a 2-8 record in the WMC and will take a trip to visit Mason County Central on Friday.
