The 2022 February printed edition of the Local Sports Journal is now available. The latest edition, which is always free of charge, can be found from Grand Haven (south) to Ludington (north), to Custer and Walkerville (east) and many locations in between.
The Local Sports Journal reaches into Fremont, Newaygo, Hesperia and Grant, over to Kent City and back to Ravenna and the rest of Muskegon County.
This month’s feature stories were written by historian Ron Pesch, who explores the legacy of prep basketball in the area, Greg Gielczyk, who delves into the life of longtime basketball official Roger Chappel and Pesch comes back with a look at the Whitehall Hall of Fame.
Team photos from area high school wrestling and bowling teams also are featured in this month’s edition.
