MUSKEGON — Reeths-Puffer’s boys basketball team was outscored in the second half, and lost a close, 58-53 O-K Green game to Wyoming at home Thursday night.

The Rockets got off to a slow start, being outscored, 13-5 in the first quarter. But they bounced back with a 14-4 edge in the second and led, 19-17 at the half.

Wyoming outscored the Rockets, 22-19 in the third quarter and grabbed a 39-38 lead. Wyoming then outscored the Rockets, 19-15 in the fourth period.

Travis Ambrose paced the Rockets with 23 points, including 5 of 6 free throws. Jaxon Whitaker followed with 14 points..

Reeths-Puffer dropped to 8-5 overall with the loss. The Rockets are next scheduled to see action Tuesday, Feb. 8 at Zeeland East.
