Holton’s second half defense buckled down to stop host White Cloud en route to remain undefeated in the CSAA-Silver.
 
The Red Devil’s defense held White Cloud to just nine second half points with a crucial 48-30 conference road win.

Holton and White Cloud battled back in forth in the first half as the Red Devils led 11-10 at the end of the first quarter and 25-21 at halftime. Holton held the Indians to two third quarter points as they expanded the lead to 35-23 before eventually winning by 18.

Wyatt Monette and Carter Brant were the leading scorers for Holton with 10 points apiece. Monette tallied a double-double with 10 rebounds. Brant contributed with five assists as well.

Kevin Erickson totaled nine points while Austin Fowler was effective on both ends of the court with eight points and six assists.

The Indians were led offensively by Jared Watson with nine points and Taylor Bode with eight points.

The Red Devils remain at the top of the CSAA-Silver standings with the victory. They improve to 6-0 in conference and 10-2 overall. Holton will host Shelby on February 7th in a non-conference tilt.

White Cloud falls to 6-8 overall and 4-5 in conference. The Indians will host Pentwater on February 7th.
