FRUITPORT–Four 3-pointers from four different players dropped for the Lakers during their second quarter run as they glide to a 60-17 win in an OK-Blue conference rivalry matchup.

Spring Lake outscored Fruitport 24-6 in the second stanza and 19-5 in the third quarter.

A well-balanced offense and team defense was led by Ella Andree who tallied 12 points, three rebounds and two assists during the game. The Lakers shot 53% from the floor while holding

Fruitport to 15% shooting from the floor. Jennifer Judge, Brooke Bolthouse, and Alexa Carter each added in eight points while Judge had six rebounds and three assists.

Spring Lake’s depth was too much for Fruitport to handle. The Lakers’ defense also forced 21 Trojan turnovers.

Fruitport was led by Ash Olson with nine points on the evening.

Spring Lake is now 6-2 in the OK-Blue and 9-4 overall. They host a tough WMC squad tomorrow night (Saturday).

Fruitport remains winless at 0-13 and 0-8 in the OK-Blue. The Trojans host Hudsonville Unity Christian in hopes to record their first win of the season on February 8th.
