The Whitehall boys basketball team used a strong second half in its 55-41 win over Ravenna in WMC action on Tuesday evening.

The Vikings led just 12-10 after the first quarter and the Bulldogs pushed Whitehall to a 17-17 tie at the halftime break.

The second half saw the Vikings play more explosive on the attack with a 19-12 scoring run to take a 36-29 lead after the third quarter.

The scoring advantage continued into the fourth quarter for the Vikings as they again outscored the Bulldogs 19-12 to successfully cap off the night with a win.

A key contributor for the Vikings was Camden Thompson who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Also chipping in for Whitehall was Jack Houseman and Nate Bolley who scored nine and eight points, respectively. Isaac DeHart threw in seven points and pulled down five rebounds.

Ravenna was led by Kyle Beebe with 12 points, 10 rebounds and four assists while Travis May did his part scoring eight points and grabbing three rebounds.

Whitehall improves to 7-4 on the season and will continue league play on Friday when it faces off with North Muskegon on the road.

Ravenna is now also 7-4 and will travel to take on West Michigan Conference foe the Hart Pirates on Friday.
