MUSKEGON — Mona Shores boys basketball team had two bad quarters, the first and the third, in falling to Wyoming by 11 points, 71-60 on Friday night at home in the OK Conference-Green.

It was the final game of the regular season for the Sailors.

A slow start doomed the Sailors to a 13-9 deficit at the end of the first quarter. Mona Shores bounced back to outscore Wyoming, 15-14 in the second and trailed by just three, 27-24 at the half.

Then came the third quarter, and Wyoming outscored the Sailors, 25-16 to extend its lead to 12 points, 52-40 entering the fourth quarter. Mona Shores had a 20-19 edge in the last period.

Parker Swartz scored 20 points to lead the Sailors, while Keontae Richards added 10, and Dimitri Roberson and Ethan Krueger scored eight apiece.

Swartz led Mona Shores with 10 rebounds and Krueger pulled down eight. Richards dished out six assists and picked off seven steals.

Mona Shores finished 9-11 overall and 6-8 in the conference.
