Whitehall dominates Orchard View in a girls basketball district first round matchup

Muskegon–The Vikings cruised in their victory from start to finish 64-23 over Orchard View on Monday evening in a game played at Oakridge.

The Vikings began with a 15-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. They opened the lead up further with a 31-12 halftime lead. Whitehall didn’t look back in the second half with a 54-15 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Charley Klint finished with a game high 23 points and 18 of those occurred in the first half. Klint added eight rebounds and seven steals on the evening. Lola Buckner and Ashley Tenbrink each contributed 10 points. McKena Coron had eight points and nine rebounds as well.

Whitehall improves to 9-12 on the season and advance to play Spring Lake on Wednesday at 5:30pm.

Orchard View finishes the season with a record of 1-19.
