HART — Hunter DeLora and Garrett Wever combined to score 42 points as the Oakridge boys basketball team defeated Hart, 68-39 on Tuesday night in the West Michigan Conference.

Oakridge exploded for a 27-3 first quarter and never looked back. Each team scored 14 points in the second quarter, and the Eagles took a 41-17 lead at the half.

The Eagles outscored the Pirates, 16-9 in the third quarter and rolled into the fourth period with a 57-26 lead. Hart had a 13-11 advantage in the final eight minutes.

DeLora led the way for the Eagles with 23 points and Wever finished with 19. Peyton Ruel added nine and Ethan Jozsa chipped in with seven.

Josza led the Eagles wtih 11 rebounds and Wever grabbed seven. Ruel dished out seven assists and Wever six. Ruel led with four steals, while DeLora and Wever had three apiece.

Caleb Bitely led the Pirates with 14 points while Wyatt Dean and Logan Purdy each scored six. Blake Weinch and Kory Charron pulled down six rebounds apiece.

Oakridge is on a seven-game winning streak and concluded the regular season 12-8.

Hart fell to 5-14 and will end the regular season Thursday night hosting White Cloud.
