FREMONT -The Fremont girls soccer team notched their first win of the season with an 8-1 rout over Hart on Friday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

The Packers maintained offensive pressure the entire game, scoring four goals in each half. The scoring was spread among five Packers for a balanced attack.

Mia Witte was the frontrunner and netted three goals and an assist for the Packers. Mia Clemence followed with two goals and an assist, while Riley Chase, Lili Isak and Trinity Freriks each added a goal and an assist.

Scoring the lone goal for the Pirates was Iraida Hernandez to avoid the shutout.

Macey Powers and Jessie Petry each made two saves in net for the Packers.

Fremont moves to 1-1 and will play host to Comstock Park on Monday.

Hart opens up the season 0-1 and is set to travel to Reed City on Thursday, April 7th.
