HOPKINS–The Eagles struggled to stay focused as they shot 25% from the free throw line in their 51-34 loss to the Hopkins on Tuesday evening in a non-conference battle.

Kent City struggled defensively as well as Hopkins jumped out to a 14-11 lead at the start, and trailed by 15 points at halftime 33-18.

In the second half, Kent City played better, but could not cut into the Hopkins lead as it trailed 41-26 at the end of the third quarter.

Carter Magoon led the Eagles with 12 points.

Kent City hosts Orchard View on Thursday as they fall to 13-6 overall.
