MORLEY-STANWOOD-The Eagles remain undefeated as they escaped a close battle with Morley-Stanwood 36-33 on Friday evening.

The ballgame went back and forth as it was even at 13 at the end of the first period. Kent City took a slight advantage going into halftime with a 23-20 lead. The Eagles grew their slight lead to five at the end of the third quarter 30-25.

Maddie Geers led the Eagles with 14 points, six rebounds, and four blocks. Taryn Preston had 10 points and five rebounds. Lexie Bowers finished with seven points and four steals. Emma Geers totaled five points and 10 rebounds.

Morley-Stanwood was led by Lynsey Biller with 11 points.

Kent City improves to an impressive 22-0 record and will play Western Michigan Christian on Tuesday in their Regional Semifinal matchup.
