Muskegon Heights stifles Martin in the third quarter, holding them to two points, as they come back to win in the regional semifinals

MARTIN–The Tigers came back from down 15 at halftime to win by three, 43-40 over Martin on Tuesday evening in regional semifinal action.

Leading Muskegon Heights in scoring was Ta’Neshia Nolen with 18 points. A’Neira Johnson contributed with 13 points. Ty’veonna Davis added 12 points offensively for the Tigers.

The Tigers defense switched to a triangle and two defense mixed with some zone to take away the Martin offensive threats. This strategy shut down Martin and helped propel the Tigers to the Regional Final.

The Tigers improve to 8-8 on the season and will play Gobles in the Regional Final on Thursday at 7pm at Martin High School.
