LUDINGTON — With her college choice behind her, Lilli Goodrich can concentrate on her senior season of softball at Ludington.

Goodrich, primarily a pitcher who moved to Ludington from Orchard View, recently inked her national letter of intent to continue her softball career at Grand Rapids Community College next spring.

Picking GRCC was easy, Goodrich said.

“It was a couple of things, actually,” said Goodrich. “I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the college itself. The campus was beautiful.

“After a couple conversations with their coach (Molly McKinney), I touched base with her and really liked her ideals. I also created a couple bonds with a few of their players, so it sounded like a really good opportunity for me to further my education and playing time.”

Goodrich played first base in her time with the Kent City Samara Kolehouse travel team.

She also considered Ferris State, Grand Valley State and Saginaw Valley State, strictly for academics.

“I plan on transferring to a four-year (college),” Goodrich added. “I just haven’t narrowed it down yet.”
