MUSKEGON–Four Sailors scored double digit points as Mona Shores cruised to a 70-56 over Reeths-Puffer on Friday evening..

Mona Shores had a big first quarter leading 22-10 at the end of the first quarter. The lead increased to 14 with a halftime score 37-23. Reeths-Puffer cut into the lead slightly in the third quarter 51-42.

Jenna Tierman was the leading scorer for the Sailors with 16 points and two rebounds. Khaleeya Cook finished with 15 points and four rebounds. Lily Miller provided 14 points and three rebounds. Ali Phillips was the final Sailor in double digits with 12 points.

The Rockets also had four players in double digits with Arrionna Williams leading the charge with 17 points. Brooklyn Tornes added 12 points and three rebounds. Megan Barnes and Sophia Hekkema each tallied 10 points as Hekkema also grabbed an impressive 16 rebounds.

Mona Shores improves to 19-3 after the win. The Sailors’ District Championship propels them to the Regional Semifinals against Rockford next Tuesday.

With the loss, Reeths-Puffer’s season finishes with a record of 16-6 on the season and 12-2 in the OK Green.
