HOLLAND — Grand Haven’s girls softball team swept a OK Conference Red doubleheader from Holland West Ottawa, 18-1 and 25-0 on the road Tuesday afternoon.

In the first game Hannah Aldred pitched a no-hitter for the Buccaneers. The game was stopped after three innings because of the 10-run lead rule, and Aldred finished with four strike outs and six walks.

Four players had four hits apiece for the Bucs. Regan Riemersma went 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in, as well as three runs scored to lead the way.

Skylar Covelli was 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored, Savannah Collins went 2-for-2 with a triple, one RBI and four runs scored, Sami Franz finished 2-for-2 with three runs scored and Kendall Pahl contributed a double as the Bucs collected 10 hits for the game.

Hanna Bowen threw a perfect game for the Bucs in the nightcap over just three innings. She struck out four and did not walk anyone.

The Bucs knocked out 15 hits, with Bowen belting a home run and a double, Collis a double and triple while Sydney Spencer and Mercedes Ybbarra each had a double.

Ybbarra was 3-for-4 with five RBI and three runs scored to lead the Bucs. Riemersma was 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs scored.

Collins was 2-for-2 with three RBI and three runs scored. Bowen was 2-for-2 with four RBI and a run scored, while Spencer went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored.

Also getting hits were Emily Walcott who had two RBI and two runs scored, Ryley Frank with one RBI and three runs scored, Abby Jeske with three runs scored and Claire Rademaker with two runs scored.

Collins and Riemersma each had a stolen base and Walcott swiped a pair.
