GRAND HAVEN–Dayne Arnett, a dominant offensive lineman from Grand Haven High School, has signed with Ferris State to continue his football career. Arnett recently signed his National letter of intent to attend Ferris State.

Ferris State is the reigning national champions in Division II. The Bulldogs are members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and have won the last three conference championships.

Arnett’s football career at Grand Haven was highlighted with a first-team All OK Conference selection, first-team All Muskegon Area selection, first-team eam All Region MHSFCA, Associated Press Honorable Mention All State and Detroit Free Press Honorable Mention All State in 2021.

Arnett was not only a solid football player, but he was also a successful wrestler. Arnett won the OK Red Conference championship in 2020 and 2021, district champion in 2020 and 2021, regional runner-up in 2020 and regional champion in 2021, state qualifier in 2020 and 2021, and finished fifth in the state in 2020.

“Dayne is real dedicated to the weight room who was a three-year starter for us,” Grand Haven football coach Mike Farley said. “He was a real special player for us. Dayne is an extremely hard worker. Ferris State is getting a great teammate. He’ll be a real positive influence at Ferris State.”

Arnett has a 3.0 GPA and plans to study Criminal Justice at Ferris State. Dayne is the son of Chelsea Cleland and Greg Gibson.
