MUSKEGON — Muskegon Catholic Central’s baseball team made short work of Tri-Unity Christian on Thursday afternoon at home, chalking up a big 15-5 victory that was stopped after five innings because of the 10-run lead rule.

Sam Covertini picked up the victory on the hill for the Crusaders, surrendering three runs and registering four strike outs in four innings.

The Crusaders backed him up with a 10-hit attack, with Bryan Convertini stroking out three himself and knocking in three runs.

Croix Klint added two hits, while Sam Kartes had a triple and Sam Covertini ripped a double and scored two runs.

Vince Szymanski had one hit and three RBIs as the Crusaders moved to 2-1 on the season.
