FREMONT–Spring Lake’s girls softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Fremont, 6-1 and 13-5 on Wednesday afternoon.

In the first game Avery Flynn was the winning pitcher, giving up five hits, one walk and striking out eight.

Flynn also led the Lakers at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three triples. Alexa Carter and Tegan Rose contributed two hits apiece.

Emily Batka took the circle in the second game and while she allowed eight hits she struck out two.

Flynn earned the win pitching in relief.

Carter was the big hitter for the Lakers, going 4-for-4. Flynn finished 3-for-4, Avery Britt and Rose each went 2-for-4.

Spring Lake improved to 8-2 overall.
