Grand Haven falls to Grandville 11-1 while managing just four hits

GRANDVILLE — Grand Haven’s baseball team made the trip to Grandville for a single, seven-inning game on Friday afternoon and lost, 11-1.

The Buccaneers managed only four hits, with Jake Mahoney going 2-for-2. Getting single hits were Xavier Rodriguez and Jared Tithof.

Justin Hatzel was the losing pitcher, working just two innings and giving up four earned runs on five hits while walking one.

Ty Sandwick pitched the next two innings and gave up five runs (two earned) on two hits while striking out one and walking two.

Rodriguez finished the game, giving up two runs (both earned) on two hits while striking out one and walking one.
