SCOTTVILLE – The Hart girls soccer team grabbed their first win of the season over Mason County Central on Thursday evening.

With the 1-0 victory, the Pirates posted their first shutout since the 2018/19 season.

Brianna Arjona netted the lone goal off of a cross from Cristelia Rangel.

The stingy Hart defense played strong and didn’t allow a single shot on net.

Hart (1-5-1, 1-2) will face off with Newaygo at home on Monday.

Mason County Central (0-5, 0-3) will host Benzie Central on Friday (today).

Mona Shores vs. Reeths-Puffer Girls Soccer

NORTON SHORES –The Mona Shores girls soccer team routed Reeths-Puffer on Thursday by a score of 5-0 in O-K Green Conference action.

Shay Norden and Lydia Sowles led the way in scoring with a pair of goals apiece, while Mia Brown added a single score. The goals were assisted by Ali Trautner, Addison Nellis and Brown.

The Sailors’ Ella Buikema earned a clean sheet in the net.

The backline for the Sailors held the Rockets to just seven shots on the night.

Mona Shores (4-1-1, 3-0-1) will take a trip north to play Dewitt and Traverse City Central on Saturday.

Reeths-Puffer (4-3, 2-2) will host Montague on Saturday in the Rocket Invite.

Oakridge vs. Shelby Girls Soccer

OAKRIDGE –The Oakridge girls soccer team improved to a perfect 3-0 in the Western Michigan Conference after their 4-1 win over Shelby on Thursday evening.

Saidee Raap was the leading scorer with two goals, while Bri Benson and Destiny Brown each netted a goal.

Goalkeeper Izzy Glassford had nine saves in the net for the Eagles.

Oakridge (4-4, 3-0) will be at home on Friday against the Ludington Orioles.

Shelby (2-6, 2-2) will visit Ravenna on Thursday, April 28th.
