LAKEVIEW — Hesperia’s girls softball team made the bus ride to Lakeview for a Central States Activities Conference Silver doubleheader and won both games, 18-12 and 16-3 on Tuesday afternoon.

Emma Joppich was the winning pitcher in the first game, throwing seven innings and striking out 10 batters.

Leading hitters included Emmi Tinkham with four hits, four RBI and four runs scored; Joppick contributed three hits with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored; Allie Townsend added three hits with a triple and three runs scored and Adriana Slater had three hits, two RBI and three runs scored.

Kaity Skok picked up the win in the nightcap, throwing six innings and rang up four strike outs.

Abby Joppich led the way on offense with four hits, four RBI and two runs scored. Kayla Rumsey had three hits, one RBI and three runs scored. Townsend added two hits with a double and a triple with five RBI. Tinkham had three hits and two RBI and Emma Joppich had two hits and two RBI.

Hesperia improved to 6-2 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
