WHITE CLOUD–Hesperia’s girls softball team swept a doubleheader with White Cloud on Thursday afternoon, winning the first game 21-1 and winning the nightcap 21-7.

In the first game Emmi Tinkham led the way at the plate with four hits, five runs batted in and four runs scored. Abby Joppich had two hits, five RBIs and one run scored. Allie Townsend ripped a triple, knocked in two runs and scored three runs.

Emma Joppich picked up the win in the circle for the Panthers, walking three and striking out six.

Townsend had four hits in the second game, with two triples, one run batted in and five runs scored. Emma Joppich had two hits, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Tinkham had two hits, drove in two runs and scored two runs. Abby Joppich had one hit, two RBIs, two runs scored and reached base on a walk.

Kaity Skok earned the pitching victory, striking out seven batters in five innings.

Hesperia improved to 2-2 overall.
