HOLTON–Hesperia’s baseball team lost a doubleheader to Holton, 10-0 and 5-2 on Friday.

Steven Kersting went six innings for Holton in the opener, striking out four and giving up only two hits.

Leading hitters for the Red Devils were Jason Hibbs who went 3-for 4 with three RBI and Austin Fowler who was 2-for 4 with two RBI. Brodrick Fialik went 2-ror 4 with one RBI while scoring two runs.

Hesperia made six errors in the field.

In the nightcap Austin Fowler started on the mound and went 3 1/3 innings allowing one earned run while striking out four. Kersting came in and picked up the win in relief going 3 1/3 innings, also giving up one earned run while fanning two.

Kevin Erickson, Carter Brant, Jason Hibbs and Kersting all had hits for the Red Devils.

Hesperia had four hits in the nightcap, with Ethan O’Neil having one hit and two walks and Armando Escobedo had one hit and a run batted in.
