LUDINGTON — The Ludington boys track team recorded 13 first place finishes, including three of the four relays, in chalking up a 97-40 victory over Manistee in a Lakes 8 Activities Conference dual meet at home Tuesday afternoon.

Lucas Peterson was a double winner for the Orioles, notching a first place in the 110-meter hurdles (16.50 seconds) and the 300-meter hurdles (44.60) to lead the way.

Also recording a pair of victories was Adam Keffer, taking first in the shot put (41 feet 6.5 inches) and the discus (101 feet).

Other first places for the Orioles were earned by Nathan Gilchrist in the 100 meters (11.80 seconds), Kyle Wendt in the 400 meters (56.90), Caleb Smith in the high jump (6 feet 4 inches, two inches shy of the school record) and Adrian Salazar won the pole vault for the Orioles (11 feet 6 inches).

Ludington won the 400 relay in 47.60 seconds (Nathan Reisterer, Aidan Gilchrist, Nathan Gilchrist and Jonah Peterson), the 800 relay in 1:41.00 (J. Peterson, Reisterer, A. Gilchrist and N. Gilchrist) and the 1600 relay in 3:51.30 (L. Peterson, Trey Keson, Wendt and Smith).

Finishing second for the Orioles were A. Gilchrist in the 100 (11.82), J. Peterson in the 200 (24.40), Yebe Boerema in the 400 (58.00), Keson in the 800 (2:23.50), Jose Flores in the 1600 (5:21.20) and the 3200 (11:30.80) and Smith in the 110 hurdles (16.80) and the 300 hurdles (45.70).

Kohlbe Nelson finished second in the shot put (36 feet 9 inches) and the discus (91 feet 9 inches), L. Peterson took second in the high jump (6 feet) and Braden Kronlein was second in the pole vault (10 feet).
