MUSKEGON — Mona Shores’ baseball team swept an OK Conference-Green doubleheader from Zeeland East, 14-2 and 6-3 at home on Thursday night.

Jason Anderson was on the hill in the first game for the Sailors, allowing two earned runs on seven hits while striking out seven over six innings.

The Sailors had 14 hits for the game, with Mark Konecny leading the way with three hits, three runs batted in and two runs scored. Diego Pena added two hits with a two-run home run.

Landen Thalman, Aaron Piasecki, Bryson Belanger and Javanni Johnson each had two hits.

Johnson was the winning pitcher in Game two, giving up just two earned runs while striking out three.

Konecny hit a two-run home run with the Sailors trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the first. He wound up with three RBI and two runs scored. Jaxon Huffman added a hit and drove in two runs.

Mona Shores improved to 13-2 overall and 9-0 in the conference.
