WHITE CLOUD — Kent City’s baseball team traveled to White Cloud for a Central State Activities Silver doubleheader and came away with a sweep, 3-0 and 11-3 on Friday.

In the first game Kyler Larson pitched a masterful two-hitter with just one walk and rang up 18 strike outs.

Meanwhile, the Eagles pounded out nine hits with three players knocking out two apiece.

Ryan Darling was 2-for-5 with a run scored, Webb Longcore finished 2-for-4 with one run batted in and one run scored and Josh Andeson went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Tyler Brummel had one hit and drove in a run.

Troy Atwood was the winning pitcher in Game two, throwing seven innings and giving up one earned run on three hits with two walks and nine strike outs.

He also contributed to the offense, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Jutin Mack was 3-for-4 with three RBI and one rn scored. Longcore was 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored and Ryan Darling was 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

The Eagles had 13 hits.
