LUDINGTON – The Ludington girls soccer team topped the Montague Wildcats with a score of 2-1 on Friday night in non-league action.

Maddie Gasaway and Abi Bandstra each found the net for the Orioles scoring a goal a piece.

Oriole’s goalkeeper Anyssa Castaneda made 11 saves on the 12 shots taken by the Wildcats.

Ludington (2-2) will open up Lakes 8 Conference play on Monday when they visit Muskegon Catholic Central.

Montague (0-2) will play next on Saturday to face Shelby and the Western Michigan Aviation Academy in the Oakridge Invitational.
