LUDINGTON — Ludington’s girls softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader with Cadillac, 10-7 and 16-3 at home Wednesday afternoon.

“It was another cold, and this time wet day down at Oriole Field,” said Orioles’ head coach Maggie Bates. “We were behind in the first game, and the girls fought back and came away with the win.

“This group of girls is learning quickly. We still have some things that we have to work on, obviously, but they’ll get there. There is no doubt in my mind.”

Sam Hanson stepped into the pitcher’s circle for the opener and threw three innings. She allowed five hits and walked one while striking out four.

Rylee Hardenburgh was 1-for-1 with a run batted in for the Orioles’ offense.

Hailey Lundberg pitched the second game and went 1 1/3 innings and gave up two hits and four walks, with Sabrina Ramirez coming in out of the bullpen to finish the game and gave up two hits while striking out two.

Ramirez was 1-for-1 with two walks, Keeley Bowman was 1-for-1 with a walk and a run batted in and Maddie Enbody was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
