MUSKEGON — Fruitport’s baseball team shutout Muskegon Catholic Central, 11-0 in a non-conference game on the road Friday afternoon.
Cody Matuz earned the victory on the mound for the Trojans. He went the entire five innings and gave up four hits and struck out 10 batters.
Leading the way at the plate were Hayden Harper and Brady French each with three hits and two runs batted in.
Gavin Reames contributed two hits and Aiden Vela was walked four times.
Catholic Central (4-6) was led by Braden Gustin with two hits.
