COMSTOCK PARK — Whitehall’s baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from Comstock Park, 5-3 an 11-5 on the road Thursday.

Jack McDowell pitched all seven innings of the opener, giving up three runs on six hits while striking out five and walking four.

It was a scoreless game until the Vikings scored three runs in the top of the first, and Comstock answered with one in the bottom half. Each team scored two runs in the sixth.

The Vikings finished the game with seven hits, led by Landon Howe who went 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Kyle Stratton and Jaden Brinkert each had one RBI.

Sam Cole picked up the win in Game two, throwing six innings and giving up five runs on nine hits with four strike outs and just two walks.

At the plate Stratton was 2-for-4 with one RBI and three runs scored, while Ryne Christensen was 2-for-4 with one RBI and a run scored.

Howe and Brendan Schmehil each had two RBI and R. Goodrich had one.
