MUSKEGON–The Orchard View girls soccer team got their first win of the season with a 5-1 victory over Tri-Unity Christian on Tuesday evening.

The Cardinals took a 2-0 lead after the first half and never turned back.

Nazalia Mendiola and Kylee Carmean led the charge for Orchard View and each had a pair of goals, while Aleya Jones netted one score. Payten Bleich had an assist for the Cardinals.

Tania Fulough and Brooklyn Gould formed a tough tandem and contributed some outstanding defensive play for the Cardinals.

Orchard View (1-1) will play again on Thursday when they travel to Fremont.
