Nellis scores three goals to lead Sailors over Fruitport 6-0

FRUITPORT – The Mona Shores girls soccer team handed the Fruitport Trojans their first loss of the season with a 6-0 rout on Saturday afternoon.

Addison Nellis completed the hat trick for the Sailors with three goals. Also, Shay Norden and Lydia Sowles found the net with two goals and one goal respectively.

Mona Shores’ Jenna Baker posted the shutout in the net.

Goalkeeper Riley Kettel made eight saves for the Trojans.

Mona Shores (2-1-1, 1-0-1) will travel to Zeeland East on Tuesday for an O-K Green Conference match-up.

Fruitport (3-1, 1-0) will host the Spring Lake Lakers in a rivalry game on this afternoon (Monday) weather permitting.
