SHELBY — Battling gusting winds up to 40 miles per hour, the North Muskegon baseball team swept a West Michigan Conference doubleheader over Shelby, 14-2 and 10-0 on the Tigers’ diamond.

Ryan Delora struck out nine for the Norsemen in the second game. Carson Moat was the winning pitcher in the first game.

In the first game, the Tigers’ Lalo Garcia struck out seven in four innings. and in the nightcap Joseph Hayes walked only one.

Leading hitters on the day for the Norsemen were ben Meyers who had four hits and Troy McManus and Sam Gallo each had three.

Hayes and Thomas Harvel each had two hits for Shelby.
