MUSKEGON–The Oakridge girls soccer team opened up their Western Michigan Conference season with a bang on Tuesday evening.

The Eagles shut out Mason County Central 8-0.

Saidee Raap found the net four times for the Eagles, while Bri Benson, Cara Morse, Adara DeWolf and Destiny Bowen each added a goal.

Oakridge (1-1, 1-0) will be at home on Thursday to take on Grand Rapids Covenant Christian.

Mason County Central (0-2, 0-1) will play host to Suttons Bay on Friday.
