NORTH MUSKEGON–Ravenna’s girls softball team swept a doubleheader from North Muskegon, 16-0 and 13-3 on Tuesday afternoon.

The first game only went four innings, and the Bulldogs hit four home runs.

Emma Herremans was the leading hitter for the Bulldogs, going 4-for-4 with a home run and a double. Maddie Kilbourne also was 4-for-4 with a double.

Also for the Bulldogs in the first game, Addie Gillard was 3-for-4, Liberty Willick was 2-for-3 with a home run, Kara Postema was 2-for-3, Emma Gillard was 1-for-4 with a home run, Amelia Porter had a home run, Alexis McMahon had a double and Ellie Bolem also had a hit.

The nightcap was stopped after the fifth inning because of the 10-run lead rule.

Emma Gillard was in the pitcher’s circle for the Bulldogs and gave up three runs on just two hits, walked two and struck out 10 batters.

Leading hitters included Emma Gillard who was 2-for-3 with a home run, Herremans who was 2-for-3 with a double, Kilbourne who was 2-for-4.

Also getting hits were Postema, Addie Gillard, McMahon, Porter and Willick.

Ravenna improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the West Michigan Conference.
