MUSKEGON—Logan Brooks from Muskegon Reeths-Puffer high school has decided to continue his basketball career at Heidelberg University as he has recently signed his national letter of intent to attend the Division III college located in Tiffin, Ohio.

Heidelberg is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference and is affiliated with the United Church of Christ. They finished the 2021-22 season with an overall record of 18-8 and 12-5 in the conference.

Brooks was instrumental in helping Reeths-Puffer finish this past season with a 13-8 record and a third place finish in the OK Conference-Green with a 9-5 record under first year Rockets head coach Nate Aardema.

Brooks finished the 2021-22 season scoring 6.9 points, 4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

“Logan had a very good year for us and has earned the chance to play at Heidelberg,” said Reeths-Puffer coach Nate Aardema.

“He’s a 6’6” wing that can shoot, get to the rim and defend. He wasn’t called on to score a lot for our team, but has the capability to put up big numbers,” said Aardema.

Brooks was an honorable mention OK-Green choice and earned honorable mention All Area with Local Sports Journal.

“I am very proud of Logan and excited for him to do great things at Heidelberg and throughout the rest of his life,” Aardema said.

Brooks currently has a 3.73 GPA at Reeths-Puffer and will major in business at Heidelberg. Logan is the son of Chris Brooks and Stacey Wells.
