MUSKEGON — The Muskegon Reeths-Puffer girls softball team split its opening OK Conference doubleheader with Wyoming at home Tuesday, winning the opener 11-0 and losing the nightcap 11-8.

In the first game Caitlynn Duffey was in the circle for the Rockets and spun a nifty two-hitter with 12 strike outs to collect her first win.

Reeths-Puffer freshman Mady Snyder had a big game at the plate, belting two home runs, the first a two-run blast and the other a grand slam for seven total runs batted in, and two runs scored.

Natalie Kunnen also had two hits for the Rockets.

Snyder and Duffey split time in the circle for the Rockets in Game 2, each racking up five strike outs.

The Rockets had six hits in the loss, with Snyder ripping a double while Kaylee Jones rapped out a triple and a single and Duffey had a two-run home run and a double.
