MUSKEGON — Reeths-Puffer’s girls softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader to Zeeland West, 7-4 and 5-3 on a frigid Tuesday afternoon at home.

In the first game, the Rockets pounded out an impressive total of 12 hits led by two apiece from Madi Kunnen, Megan Barmes and Mady Snyder.

Alyssa Sahlhoff contributed a triple. Caitlyn Duffey fanned 10 batters in the circle.

Game 2 found the Rockets’ bats cooled off, as they managed just four hits for the game with Duffey producing two singles while Brookelyn Rought ripped a double and Kaylee Jones smashed a triple.

Duffey was in the circle to start the game, and threw the first four innings and struck out five. Snyder finished the game and had three strike outs.
