ZEELAND — Mona Shores’ baseball team breezed to an 11-1 victory over Zeeland West on the road in the OK Conference Green, sweeping the three-game series.
Jason Anderson dominated on the mound for the Sailors, going all five innings of the shortened game, allowing one run on one hit while striking out six.
Mark Konecny paced the Sailors’ offense, going 3-for-4 with a grand slam home run in the third inning to finish with five runs batted in and three runs scored.
Aaron Piasecki finished the game with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored. Diego Pena also contributed two hits and collected an RBI.
The Sailors improved to 10-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
